Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Diani/Mombasa - Shimba Hills National Reserve
Depart from your hotel and drive to Shimba Hills Park just 45 Kms from Mombasa. You will also visit the Sheldrick waterfalls. Lunch will be at Shimba Hills Tree lodge set in the middle of tropical rain forest. Afternoon safari game drive in the Shimba Hills National Reserve from 4pm. Dinner and Overnight at Shimba Hills lodge. Shimba hills Lodgehas a waterhole visited by nocturnal mammals at night and by day animals come to drink water and fish eagles on prey.
Shimba Hill National Reserve is home to the last breeding herd of indigenous Kenyan Sable Antelope (the most beautiful of the large antelopes), elephant, giraffe and buffalo among other African Wildlife and bird species.
Day 2: Shimba Hills National Reserve - Diani/Mombasa
After an early breakfast you proceed for a game drive until around 1000hrs. You are accompanied by a ranger for a guided bracing walk to the Sheldrick's falls. Have another one hours game drive before you eventually return to you beach resort.
